Why should I use your recommended protocol or reagents for my IHC experiment?

We have performed a number of comparisons over the years looking at protocol variables such as the retrieval solution, diluent, incubation, and detection methodology. We have seen that the choice of reagent in these steps can have an impact upon staining. Not every antibody is sensitive to all variables, and some antibodies will be more sensitive than others. Because we cannot perform protocol comparisons for every product that we recommend, we cannot know for certain which antibodies may be sensitive to protocol variations. For that reason, we strongly encourage customers to follow our recommended protocol when using our antibodies, including the recommended reagents, since we know that our antibodies perform well with this combination.
