Why have the names of your phospho-Smad1/5/8 antibodies changed to phospho-Smad1/5/9?

Smad8 and Smad9 are often used in the literature to refer to the same protein. However, the official name of the protein is Smad9. Moreover, there is a Smad8 in Xenopus that is not homologous. Therefore, we have decided that it would be less ambiguous to use Smad9 in our product names going forward.  The specificity of the Smad1/5/9 antibodies has not changed.
