Why does CST recommend against aliquotting this antibody?

Most of our off-the-shelf antibodies are supplied in a 50% glycerol buffer and will not freeze when stored as recommended at -20C, therefore there is no need for aliquoting since any potential damage from repeated freeze/thaw cycles is avoided. Additionally, aliquoting the antibody can introduce variables that can affect antibody performance. There are some exceptions to this, such as custom PBS-formulated antibodies that we do recommend to be aliquoted. Be sure to check the datasheet for the specific product you are using.
