Which AMPKβ total antibody is best for my western blot experiment?

The AMPKβ total antibody to be used depends on the subunit of interest and the secondary antibody to be used. We have four AMPKβ antibodies that detect total protein:

  • AMPKβ1 Antibody #12063
  • AMPKβ1 (71C10) Rabbit mAb #4178
  • AMPKβ1/2 (57C12) Rabbit mAb #4150
  • AMPKβ2 Antibody #4148.

A side-by-side comparison of the four AMPKβ antibodies has been performed. Among all of the total AMPKβ antibodies, the rabbit-derived #4178 antibody shows the strongest signal in western blotting applications for AMPKβ1 only. Of the AMPKβ antibodies, #4150 targets both AMPKβ1 and AMPKβ2. The polyclonal antibody #4148 shows weak signal for AMPKβ2 only.
