What are the differences between your ChIP-grade Protein G Magnetic Beads #9006 and Protein G Magnetic Beads #70024?

The differences between these two beads, ChIP-Grade Protein G Magnetic Beads #9006 and Protein G Magnetic Beads #70024, are their approved applications and storage buffers.

Both products can be used in immunoprecipitation. However, #9006 has been specifically validated and modified to work for Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP). The #9006 ChIP-grade beads are stored in buffer containing BSA (1 mg/mL) to block non-specific binding of proteins and DNA during the isolation of immunocomplexes, whereas the #70024 storage buffer does not contain BSA and includes EDTA. #70024 has not been tested or modified for ChIP; therefore, we cannot guarantee the performance of this product in ChIP assays.
