ZDHHC3 (F9O3C) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total ZDHHC3 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat

The antigen sequence used to produce this antibody shares 100% sequence homology with the species listed here, but reactivity has not been tested or confirmed to work by CST. Use of this product with these species is not covered under our Product Performance Guarantee.

Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology:

    Xenopus

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human ZDHHC3 protein.

    Background

Zinc finger DHHC-type containing 3 (ZDHHC3), also known as Golgi-specific DHHC zinc finger protein (GODZ), is a palmitoyltransferase primarily found in the Golgi apparatus (1). ZDHHC3 plays a prominent role in brain homeostasis, regulating myelination by palmitoylating Cadm4 and neuronal morphogenesis by palmitoylating a variety of other substrates, including GABA(A) receptors, stathmins 2 and 3, and NCAM (1-4). FGFR1 and Src regulate ZDHHC3 activity by phosphorylating different tyrosines, which either enhance or inhibit ZDHHC3 activity, respectively (1). ZDHHC3 is also responsible for palmitoylation of PD-L1, which blocks its ubiquitination and inhibits T cell-mediated cytotoxicity, making it a potential target for cancer therapeutics (5,6).
