    实验步骤

    Specificity / Sensitivity

TRPM2 (F1X5E) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total TRPM2 protein. This antibody detects an 80 kDa protein of unknown identity in some cell lines.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gly110 of human TRPM2 protein.

    Background

Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 2 (TRPM2) is a Ca2+-permeable cation channel that can be activated by a variety of stimuli, including oxidative stress, ADP-ribose, β-amyloid (1-42) peptide, and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) (1-3). TRPM2 is broadly expressed in the brain; outside the brain, it is expressed by pancreatic β-cells and a variety of peripheral immune cells (4-6). TRPM2 is involved in neuronal development and is dysregulated in neurological conditions, including Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease (5). In pancreatic β-cells, TRPM2 expression plays a key role in insulin secretion (7). TRPM2 also regulates inflammation by influencing IL-6 and TNF-α expression by macrophages and modulating neutrophil chemotaxis and bacterial killing (8-10).
