    Specificity / Sensitivity

G0S2 (F7A7O) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total G0S2 protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of human G0S2 protein.

    Background

G0/G1 switch gene 2 (G0S2) is a small protein involved in several biological processes. G0S2 is involved in cell cycle regulation; G0S2 mRNA was initially found to be upregulated in lymphocytes during the G0 to G1 cell cycle transition, whereas low G0S2 protein levels are associated with higher turnover of CD8+ T cells and several cancer types (1-3). G0S2 directly interacts with adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL) to inhibit lipolysis (4). G0S2 is also upregulated in various inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, and psoriasis (5-8). Mature, activated neutrophils highly express G0S2, and it may represent part of an anti-tumor neutrophil signature (9,10).
