    实验步骤

    Specificity / Sensitivity

CD42d (F5B9F) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total CD42d protein.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human

    Source / Purification

Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a recombinant protein specific to full-length human CD42d protein. This antibody recognizes residues surrounding Ala483 of human CD42d protein.

    Background

The glycoprotein Ib-V-IX (GPIb-V-IX) complex is a platelet receptor that plays a crucial role in hemostasis and general platelet function (1). During vessel injury, multimeric von Willebrand factor (VWF) protein interacts with the GPIb-V-IX receptor expressed on circulating platelets, resulting in platelet activation, aggregation, and blood clot formation (2). GPIb-V-IX is composed of four individual protein subunits: CD42b (GPIbα), CD42c (GPIbβ), CD42d (GPV), and CD42a (GPIX) (3). CD42d, encoded by the GP5 gene, is the smallest subunit of the complex and associates non-covalently with the transmembrane domain of CD42b (3). CD42d interacts with collagen and is enzymatically cleaved by thrombin during platelet activation (4-6).
