    Storage

Supplied in 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg/ml BSA and 50% glycerol. Store at –20°C. Do not aliquot the antibody.

    Protocol

    Specificity / Sensitivity

BCL7A Antibody recognizes endogenous levels of total BCL7A protein. This antibody does not cross-react with other BCL7 proteins.

    Species Reactivity:

    Human, Monkey

    Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Val168 of human BCL7A protein. Antibodies are purified by peptide affinity chromatography.

    Background

The BCL7 family of proteins consisting of BCL7A, BCL7B, and BCL7C are part of the mammalian SWI/SNF complex (1,2). The BCL7 family has tumor suppressive properties, and differential expression is correlated with poor prognosis of multiple cancer types (2-6). BCL7A was first identified as gene invoked in a MYC-BCL7A fusion in high-grade B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (7). BCL7A also contributes to the function of Purkinje cells (8). BCL7B is deleted in Williams-Beuren syndrome and has been found to play a role in Wnt signaling (9,10).
