TFAM Antibodies

You can find the right TFAM antibody for your scientific research with our 4 antibodies developed in Rabbit. These antibodies are validated for detecting TFAM in Human and Mouse samples using techniques like Western Blotting, Immunofluorescence (Immunocytochemistry), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), Immunofluorescence (Frozen), Immunoprecipitation, Simple Western™ and eCLIP. Our TFAM antibodies have been cited in 166 publications and have 45 product images.

Target Information

Binds to the mitochondrial light strand promoter and functions in mitochondrial transcription regulation. Required for accurate and efficient promoter recognition by the mitochondrial RNA polymerase. Promotes transcription initiation from the HSP1 and the light strand promoter by binding immediately upstream of transcriptional start sites. Is able to unwind DNA. Bends the mitochondrial light strand promoter DNA into a U-turn shape via its HMG boxes. Required for maintenance of normal levels of mitochondrial DNA. May play a role in organizing and compacting mitochondrial DNA. 2 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
