Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Asp172 of human ADA2B protein.
Background
ADA2A and ADA2B are human homologs of the yeast SAGA complex member Ada2. While highly related, ADA2A and B appear functionally distinct. ADA2A is incorporated into PCAF-containing complexes, while ADA2B is recruited to SAGA complexes with GCN5 and Brg1 (1-3). ADA2 proteins form a trimer with GCN5L and ADA3, and enhance GCN5L acetyltransferase activity (4,5). The C-terminal domain of ADA2A and ADA2B determines incorporation into their various complexes, resulting in specific targeting toward histone H3 or H4 (6).
