Source / Purification

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding His167 of human SRSF10 protein. Antibodies are purified by peptide affinity chromatography.

Background

Serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 10 (SRSF10), also known as TASR or SRp38, was initially described as a splicing factor associated with the FUS oncoprotein (1,2). Upon dephosphorylation, SRSF10 represses splicing to regulate numerous functions, including cell cycle, heat shock response, neurogenesis, and adipocyte differentiation (3-6). SRSF10 is affected by adenosine methylation, as it has been shown to be excluded from nuclear speckles by m6A-binding protein YTHDC1 (7). SRSF10 splicing repression has been implicated in colon and cervical cancer (8,9).

Western Blot Buffer

IMPORTANT: For western blots, incubate membrane with diluted primary antibody in 5% w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween® 20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight.
